Store-bought hand sanitizers can contain synthetic fragrances and other

additives that dry out your skin. This homemade version is quick, simple, and

effective-without all the unnecessary ingredients. Plus, it smells amazing and

only takes a few minutes to make!

Super Simple DIY Hand Sanitizer Spray

Ingredients:



2 oz Amber Spray Bottle (amber bottles protect the oils from heat and light which when exposed, overtime can break down the oils properties) I recommend this multi-pack.


1 and 1/2 oz Rubbing Alcohol (at least 60% alcohol content) This one will do just fine if you don't already have some on hand.


1 tsp Vegetable Glycerin (keeps hands from drying out) This one is a great affordable option.


5-10 drops Essential Oil (pick one or mix a few from the list below) For your convenience, I provided quick links for each essential oil listed below.



Suggested Essential Oils (Choose 1-3):


Cinnamon (antibacterial)


Clove (antimicrobial)


Eucalyptus (cleansing)


Orange (refreshing scent)


Rosemary (antiseptic)




Instructions:




- Add the rubbing alcohol and vegetable glycerin to the spray bottle.

- Add your chosen essential oils (5-10 drops total).

- Screw on the lid and shake well to combine.

- Label your bottle and store it in a cool, dark place.



How to Use:



Spritz onto hands and rub together until dry.



Keep It Simple


This recipe is quick to make, budget-friendly, and way better for your skin than chemical-laden store-bought sanitizer. I love how the scent is customizable as well. The pure essential oils not only smell good, but they also have so many therapeutic and healing properties.
