Make Your Own Anti-Aging Roller Ball (2 Ingredients!)

The Viral “Time Eraser” Roller Ball… But Cheaper (And Honestly, Better)

This post contains affiliate links.

You’ve probably seen this little beauty hack all over TikTok—the famous Time Eraser roller ball. People are out here swiping under their eyes, around crow’s feet, and watching their fine lines magically disappear (or so they say). I had to try it. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to drop $15 to $20 or more for one of these little wrinkle wand rollers. You can make your own, and it's so easy—and honestly, probably even more effective.

It’s Only Two Ingredients:

1. Castor Oil (USP grade or cold-pressed, unrefined and hexane-free) I recommend this one or any USP grade castor oil.

2. Frankincense essential oil (Only the highest quality should be used externally on your skin. I recommend this one from Doterra Essential Oils. However, it is a bit pricey. I have found a cheaper alternative with just as good quality using Frankincense NOW brand. I haven't been able to find it online, but I have bought it at my local health food store. I linked Doterra for you because it is the highest quality and a whole bottle will last you a very long time. You only need 10 drops per roller bottle. Each DIY roller bottle should last you 1-2 months alone. So, overall, you are still saving so much money by making your own, especially if you plan on using nightly indefinitely, like me.)

That’s it. That’s the magic.

Let’s break it down:

Castor Oil (USP Grade)

Yes, I’m talking about the same castor oil used as a laxative—but don’t get scared off! USP just means pharmaceutical grade, which is actually the highest quality you can get for your skin, hair, and face. It’s cold-pressed (which means no heat destroyed its nutrients) and way more pure than other forms like Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Now, JBCO is great for some things, but the roasting process used in that version can strip out some of the good fatty acids and nutrients your skin craves.

Castor oil is deeply hydrating, full of ricinoleic acid, and has been used for centuries to help with:

Hair growth (yes, lashes and brows included!)

Skin hydration

Reducing inflammation

Healing dry patches and scars

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense is like the queen of anti-aging oils. It’s been used since ancient times for skin healing, regeneration, and spiritual protection (hello, Egyptian beauty rituals). It supports skin cell turnover, helps fade dark spots, fine lines, and scars, and gives your skin that rejuvenated, healthy glow.

How to Make Your Own “Time Eraser” Roller Ball:

You’ll need:

Empty roller ball bottles (I got this multipack on Amazon with the caps + funnel + everything)

USP grade castor oil

High-quality frankincense essential oil

Steps:

1. Pour castor oil into your empty roller bottle, leaving a little space at the top.

2. Add about 10 drops of frankincense (you can play with this ratio depending on how strong you want it).

3. Pop the roller top on, press it in place, and give it a good shake.

4. Before applying to your face, roll a little on the back of your hand to get the oil flowing. Then swipe under your eyes, over eyelids, and around your crow’s feet.

5. Bonus tip: Swipe a little over your lashes and brows too! Castor oil is amazing for helping them grow fuller and longer—especially if you’ve over-plucked like I used to.

Why I’m Obsessed:

This little roller ball is now part of my nightly ritual. It feels luxurious, smells grounding, and best of all—it works. My under eyes look smoother, my brows are finally growing back, and I swear my lashes are longer. Plus, I love knowing exactly what’s in it—no fillers, no sketchy ingredients, just two powerhouse oils with centuries of healing behind them.

So, if you’ve been eyeing those viral wrinkle erasers, try making your own first. It’s cheaper, customizable, and something you can feel good about putting on your face.
